Land Surveying & Drone Mapping

Orthomosaic maps, 3D terrain models, and volumetric measurements for builders, farmers, and land developers.

AIRBURST captures survey-grade aerial data using RTK-equipped drones and professional photogrammetry software. Whether you need a topographic map for a construction bid or a stockpile volume calculation, we deliver clean, accurate deliverables.

Outputs are compatible with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and standard GIS workflows.

Land surveying and drone mapping projects begin with the question the data must answer. A construction team may want a current site overview, a land manager may need a visual record of changing conditions, and a stockpile review may require a defined area and comparison date. Share the site boundary, coordinate system, and intended software so the deliverable can be discussed before capture.

Orthomosaic maps combine overlapping photographs into a consistent overhead view. Terrain models and point clouds support different types of analysis, so they should not be treated as interchangeable files. Accuracy depends on project setup, control, terrain, and capture conditions. A drone map does not by itself establish legal property boundaries or replace work that requires a licensed surveyor. Explain any regulatory or design requirements when requesting a quote.

How drone mapping works

For a mapping project, the drone flies an automated grid over the site, taking hundreds of overlapping photos at a fixed altitude. Software stitches those photos into an orthomosaic, a single map image with consistent scale, along with elevation models and 3D meshes. When higher accuracy is required, we place ground control points that are measured on site and used to tie the map to real-world coordinates.

Using maps for construction and farming

Builders use our maps for site planning, drainage review, stockpile volumes, and monthly progress records that show how grading and construction advance. Farmers and orchard managers use them to spot drainage problems, uneven crop stands, and storm damage across large fields. Drone maps support these decisions, but legal boundary surveys in Georgia still require a licensed land surveyor, and we are glad to work alongside yours.

Mapping projects around Middle Georgia

Recent mapping work in our area includes subdivision site planning in Houston County, stockpile volume flights at gravel and mulch yards, drainage studies on pasture land, and orchard mapping across Peach County. Larger sites can be split across several days, and repeat flights use the same flight plan so each map lines up with the last. Exports include GeoTIFF, DXF, LAS point clouds, and KMZ files for Google Earth, so your team can open the data immediately.
